Every year without fail I always remove the engine cowling and spray the engine block, nuts and bolts with CorrosionX. The reason I do this is very simple, to keep your expensive engine free of corrosion and the harsh effects of saltwater.  A light spray of CorrosionX on power heads, gensets and engines a couple of times a year will keeping them looking like new – even in saltwater and coastal environments. I also give a light spray to the battery terminals and any exposed electrical connections that may be subjected to salt spray or moisture. CorrosionX has a dielectric characteristic, so it’s safe on electronics and completely shuts down electrolysis between dissimilar metals.

As you can see from the above picture these Yamaha F150 engines are 13 years old(2004) and look like new with virtually no corrosion or rust.
